Absence makes the heart grow fonder - Soap and Glory Make Up

Hello! Big apologies for the lack of blog posts recently. We are both in exam mode, which is bad bad times for us, but luckily I have finished today! Woohoo! And Yaz is not too far behind me, good luck lady. To make up for lack of posts I’m going to be posting every other day from now till the end of the Bank Holiday weekend. I hope you enjoy them.

Today’s post is something that I haven’t done before, so I’m interested to see how it’s received. I’m going to focus on my favourite products from one specific brand. I’ve chosen to do this because generally if I buy one product from a particular brand and really like it, I will look to make more purchases from that brand. Today my focus is on Soap and Glory – in particular their make-up.

To be honest, I have recently been blown away by some of their products. I never really considered Soap and Glory as a make-up brand, thinking of them more for their bath and body products and skincare. However, I’ll show you three products from them which have genuinely, dramatically improved by daily routine.

Archery Brow Tint & Pencil (£10)

This has really changed my view on how I do my brows. I love the tint/pen end which allows you to create little flicks which look like very natural hairs. The pencil part allows you to shape your brows and gives more definition. I have relatively full brows anyway, but this product gives them a really natural, defined finish. I would definitely recommend this for people with thinner brows who want to fill them out more.

Kick Ass Concealer (£10)

I freaking love this concealer! This sounds weird but since it’s warmed up a bit in the UK, so has the concealer and it is so much easier to use. It blends into the skin really well and the shade ‘Light’ which I have would work for several shades of fairer skin tones. There are two colours of concealer – a pinky toned one for dark under eye circles and a green toned one for redness and blemishes. The concealer also comes with a translucent powder which is a really effective product. It’s also great to have a 3-in-1 product as it means I don’t have to carry round multiple products with me.

One Heck of A Blot Powder (£12)

This is the powder which can be found in the Concealer set. However, as it’s so good I ran out and had to buy the full sized version. I love the fact it’s translucent because if I ever feel I’ve gone a bit heavy on the foundation, I know that when I use this powder on my T-Zone, I won’t be adding anymore excess colour. I would say it lasts a good 5 hours before I need a top up. And considering I can get quite an oily T-Zone, I’m pretty darn happy about that.

Soap and Glory is available at Boots in the UK and currently has a buy one, get the second half price deal on some of their make-up. Enjoy!
